For a while I'd wanted a pet of my own. I decided on a Guinea Pig, so I had been looking around for a good place to adopt. I'd showed interest in other places, but things didn't work out. Someone told me about the Peninsula Guinea Pig Rescue, so me and my mom went to visit. I found the cutest little girl piggy and I absolutely fell in love with her. I brought her home and fostered her to make sure she was the right fit for me. She was.

About a week ago I decided that I wanted to adopt a guinea pig, I looked at several shelters across Hampton Roads when I came across the Peninsula Guinea Pig Rescue. I called Carrie to see what guinea pig would be the perfect fit for me! She had several options and told me to come on over to have a look. Later that day I was taking home my new guinea pig Harriet! Carrie is so nice and very helpful, she is very informative and you can tell she loves what she does. I will definitely recommend the Peninsula Guinea Pig rescue to those looking for a happy healthy guinea pig!

On the Eighth of July, after long amounts of conversation between Me,Carrie, and my mother about the possible perfect piggy duo for our family, after losing our previous piggies in what is considered a tragedy. We agreed on going to go see her,to go check out piggies after growing intrested in Beatrice and Pearl;a mother-daughter duo.Carrie lives two and a half hours from us.However,My Grandparents (moms parents) live about 15 minutes from Carrie,so we had an idea. We stopped by the rescue,The moment you walk into the house, you will see so many piggies!Carrie was very kind and helpful when it came to choosing the right pigs for our family. We snuggled and met with so many cute pigs of many kinds. In the end we left with Pearl and Beatrice, stopped by my grandparents house for a couple of hours. Then we went home where we learned how great these piggies are and how good of a job Carrie did with pairing us with them.Pearl and Beatrice (Commonly referred to as Bebe,or Baby bea by us) are so happy all the time!Pearl is probably the nosiest pig alive, yet keeps her daughter in line, and bea is so fluffy and energetic, and they both love watching tv,and trying to trick everyone who enters the house when their bowl is empty,by screaming like they haven't been fed in years! They are funny,Sweet and perfect for our family!Thank you Carrie for helping us through this process and giving us the perfect addition to our family! We will definitely seek her services in the future!

Madeline and Hazel said:   June 5, 2015 3:49 pm PST
We adopted Hazel over a year ago; she is a good girl. Madeline loves taking naps with Hazel on her bedroom floor after she gets home from school. Hazel is still skittish when approached to take out of her cage, but she settles down quickly in Madeline's hands. We were so excited to discover that Hazel likes to pee in her litter boxes. Now, if I could only train Madeline to wipe them out more regularly. :)

It's been over a year since we adopted Azalea and Cinnamon. They are doing well and Sherri loves them dearly. Our dog, Pepper, still wants to see the babies as much as he can and he gets excited to see them when he's around when we take them out. We take them in the car with us when we go visit NY. They really do travel well. You gave us so much support and great advice when we adopted them from you. I'll always be grateful to you for that. Thank you!!!!
